So what do you think of the idea of a live action tv series based on the long running European comics magazine Heavy Metal?
They certainly seem to have caught the visual style of the magazine in this trailer.
Quite the cast list too.

I’ve never heard of this comic, but the TV series looks awesome. From what I could find out, David Fincher has been trying to get a movie produced in the U.S. for some time, but the series this trailer promotes is being produced in France.
Just found this: http://www.comicsbeat.com/2011/02/08/metal-hurlant-chronicles-tv-show-in-the-works/. Apparently, the series is currently being slated to be shown in European countries such as Italy, Germany, Poland, and Russia. It is, however, being filmed in French and English, so there’s hope that it may eventually make it to the U.S., as well.
