Now, I know why I didn’t watch it. Chevy. I love comedy, I thrive on comedy, use to love Chevy. I oh sooo need those uplifting laughs to release the heavy tension in my life. Chevy was banned from my viewing along with funnyman Michael Richards. Also banned were Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen. I officially boycott all their works for ‘conduct unbecoming’.

Well I know what Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen may have done that you don’t approve of. What did Chevy Chase do?

Since it seems I am allowed to watch and like only 1 TV show every 5 years, and I already have one going, I was carefully not inflicting my curse upon it (that is, any show I watch and like is threatened with cancellation or is canceled.) So, it wasn’t my fault.

Chevy is a funnyman. There are numerous instances in public where he took the low road and was rude to people, even some people I don’t support, like Stern’s Stuttering John. I think it takes away from their funny image, when I see them in public being ignorant and/or assaulting people. Funny guys should either make a funny or ignore a situation. Richards did this too.

I can understand not liking Chevy. He was an unpopular person on SNL. Even in the DVD extras for Community (Yes, NBC, we bought all the DVDs, we watched every episode. I even bought a “Troy and Abed In The Morning” mug, and you’re killing the show?) you could tell that Chevy wasn’t well liked. The rest of the cast joked around with each other quite a bit, but not with Chevy.

Chevy can be kind of irritating, but that’s his character, too. I love Community. It’s definitely one of the funniest shows on TV right now.
