As much as I like Fringe… and I really like Fringe, there’s very little good news to be found in the numbers.
It’s an expensive show to put on air and while it gained a few viewers this week the key rating remains at the series low of 1.1. At this stage in the game there just isn’t going to be a ratings recovery.
The only chance the show has is if the cost for Fox to air the show can be reduced.

It’s also the dumbest possible night of the week to air.. It had great numbers until it moved to Fridays.… Gee wonder where their young to middle aged male demographic is on friday nights?

I’m watching Fringe right this moment. I enjoy it very much.
Just caught up on Fringe last night. I love how they’ve played in all the multiple versions of characters. Sad the numbers aren’t there.
Honestly the numbers were pretty poor even before it moved. Sure they were better but not compared to it’s competition. The move to Friday probably saved it from cancellation that year.
I love Fringe. Love. I get giddy about that show. But I’ll admit that the storyline is becoming increasingly convoluted now that we are up to 4 universes. I’m not sure how much longer they can keep it up — and I’d prefer they go back to solving more Fringe cases, since that’s what made it so interesting in the beginning.
Too early for numbers. Wait a week.
My problem is that I started watching it on netflix and haven’t caught up yet!!!
