More Google Tablet Rumors. Made By ASUS?

The lat­est rumor about the sup­posed $199 Nexus Tablet is that Google may have part­nered with ASUS to pro­duce the 7″ 1280×800 machine and that it may run a Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor.

If that’s the case it would be extremely com­pet­i­tive with the Kin­dle Fire with the advan­tage of run­ning Ice Cream Sand­wich and all the Google apps.

    The brand. And the fact that, if it’s Google who gives it a name, you can trust it more than if it is a no-name android tablet you buy at dealextreme.

    Well if they fol­low the phone model +Nobilis Reed then there will be no skin on top of Android 4.0, boot loader will be unlocked (for easy hack­ing) and the updates will come direct from Google.

    It’s the tablet as Google thinks they should be done.

    Motorola is func­tion­ing as a sep­a­rate com­pany. Which means for the moment they’ll have to bid on these things like every­one else.

    Pre­sum­ably ASUS had the prod­uct that Google was look­ing for at the price they wanted.

    +Eoghann Irv­ing Good to know. I’d pre­fer Sam­sung make it, but Asus makes a solid prod­uct. I’ve been pretty dis­ap­pointed with Moto as of late :(

    Typ­ing this on an Asus trans­former prime.….i would snap one of these (prob­a­bly two, one for each kid) in a heart­beat. Really impressed with the asus prod­uct and pure google is the only way to go. Go google go.…
