Well worth read­ing if you are or plan to become a pub­lished author. It illus­trates why I don’t see any way that the cur­rent pub­lish­ing model can be sustained.

Doing some rough sums, I think this author could have earned the same amount from sell­ing 10,000 copies on Ama­zon at $2.99 as she did sell­ing 100,000 via Har­le­quin at $4.50

    I gave up tak­ing seri­ously the dream/process of writ­ing an sf novel some time ago.
    If you are going to get screwed by pub­lish­ers, what is the point?
