Are People Turning INTJ Into A Boast?

The INTJ personality type is supposed to be comparatively uncommon. By which I mean they reckon it’s 1% of the population. Which still means there’s at least 3 million in the US alone.

I’m an INTJ. I usually come close to maxing out the test when it comes to my INTJness (new word TM me!). But it’s never occurred to me to announce it like an accomplishment.

And yet we get communities with this description (no I’m not accusing them of all being raving egotists in there) and I’ve seen a stream of those annoying text graphics that are essentially just INTJ’s just patting each other on the back.

It’s just a personality type. It doesn’t make you special. Trust me there are dumb ass INTJ’s

Another example of tribalism perhaps?
