Capture An Asteroid. Now There’s a Goal

Unlike most of the inter­net (so it seems) I don’t think that the lack of mis­sions to the moon or Mars cur­rently are a sig­nif­i­cant loss. I also don’t think it’s a bad thing that the hor­ri­bly expen­sive and inef­fi­cient Shut­tles have been grounded permanently.

There are bet­ter, more effi­cient and cheaper ways to advance space flight and our knowl­edge of space than that sort of grandstanding.

Now cap­tur­ing a near earth orbit aster­oid, bring­ing it into orbit and using it as a future base.… That’s a goal worth having.
