I am not a builder of things +Frank Beaney. It doesn’t play to my skill sets.

If it doesn’t appeal to you then fair enough, +Eoghann Irving . Each to their own.

    I wasn’t a Maker either until I (quite recently) made something! ;-)

When I have to assemble or construct things for practical purposes.… well it’s not pretty… and usually the family prefers to leave the house.

So, not my idea of a hobby. :D

I was just thinking that the circuitry and logic can probably be ripped out of those  freebie toys that banks and such give out at Fourth of July festivals and just add some more bulbs with maybe a 3205 voltage regulator to help handle the extra load…

I’ll keep it in mind when I run out of small projects. I think I might already have everything except the extra LEDs, and I had those until I gave my dad the light-stick for him to play with at the photography club sessions.

Not usable for anything? It could be a storage device! You can store a lot of values with 64 bits! Or a communication device!

At the physics faculty at my university, an old wing had these strange things in their hallways. It was a small board with 5 lights arranged like the 5 on a dice. If some indicator light lit up inside your office, you could go into the hallway and look at the board, and the light combination was then an address to someone that had paged you (!).
