Netflix Grabs More WB TV Series

This has the poten­tial to be a big year for Net­flix. The com­plaint I hear reg­u­larly is that there aren’t enough new movies. That isn’t going to change any time soon because Net­flix just can’t afford to out­bid every­one else.

But what they have done is play to their strengths in offer­ing more and more tv shows. This lat­est deal adds even more shows to that col­lec­tion. Com­bine that with their upcom­ing orig­i­nals House of Cards and Arrested Devel­op­ment and maybe Net­flix can finally break free from the notion that they’re a place to get movies for cheap.

What they are is a source of vast amounts of video content.

    I don’t really care about the new movies.  What I use Net­flix for is find­ing those OLD movies I missed or don’t own and want to see.  Also, doc­u­men­taries and TV shows!  There are plenty of new movie sources.
