An interesting but deeply flawed presentation.He does raise some key points relating to The Wizard of Oz compared with most modern kids movies, the Bechdel test etc. Though he doesn’t address either the economics behind this or really any other factors that might be in play.
However his big failing is in thinking that kids movies should be teaching children how to behave.
I strongly believe we need to move away from the whole concept of either celebrity, sports or fictional role models. The parents are the role models. Their behavior is what should matter. Not fiction.
