    I hear armed neigh­bor­hood watches work really well.  Let’s orga­nize peo­ple who want to vol­un­teer to carry their guns around and tell them to watch for sit­u­a­tions where gun use might be needed.  I can’t imag­ine what might go wrong with that plan.
