This is a growing frustration/problem on both sides of the fence.
Unapproved cloud storage creates a massive security leak in companies. Potentially you could be looking at breaking non-disclosure agreements or even potentially exporting information (we’re moving into criminal territory there).
On the other hand at work I am frequently faced with limitations. No pre-installed PDF editor for example that I could easily fix if I just had access to my store of online tools.
Simply ignoring the company guidelines might seem like an easy solution. But it could get messy fast.
