White Dwarf Magazine — The Good Years

I just stumbled on this read through and review of the first 100 issues of White Dwarf Magazine.

This was back when it was more than just a miniatures catalog for Games Workshop. Pretty much anyone in the UK who enjoyed RPGs in the 70s and 80s would have grown up reading White Dwarf.

    Stateside, we had Dragon magazine.

I think Dragon was always more blatantly a house magazine though wasn’t it +Robert Kuhn. White Dwarf didn’t really become that until issue 90 or so.

That cover is from when I was actively buying it +Edward Green. Games Workshop had a license for Runequest at the time and produced some very nicely illustrated hardback books which I bought.
