This is easily the best LEGO storage solution I’ve seen and the boxes and binder clips are dirt cheap. The catch is the MANDAL headboards themselves which Ikea seems to want to sell for $200.

This is very clever! I don’t know if its cheaper, but instead of the Mandal, I suppose you could just mount wood slats yourself.
It is always hard to spend the money on storage rather than LEGO, but eventually you have to find a way to store them so that they can be easily found. My husband and I have been using boxes by Stack On to sort and store small parts. These boxes seem to be a good choice for pieces that are a size up.
