Ars Technica Product Tests Ultra-Ever Dry

I’m sure you’ve seen the advert. Every­one has seen the video at this point. Ultra-Ever Dry promises to be the ulti­mate water and oil repel­lent coat­ing. So Ars put it to the test.And it turns out that yes it largely lives up to the hype. But there are some lim­i­ta­tions. Includ­ing the fact it makes most sur­faces some­what rough and you cer­tainly wouldn’t want it any­where near food.It’s still a fas­ci­nat­ing prod­uct though and it seems like it might be an excel­lent alter­na­tive to some­thing like waterseal for decks or brick­work.
