This is a cool video that goes through the process of forging and shaping a replica of the blade carried by He-Man in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. It’s not a particularly fancy weapon, but it is huge. It’s fascinating to hear all the steps in the process and see the various ways that the blacksmith tries to lighten the weight of a sword this size.
Oh… and they smash things at the end!
Heh, I love this cartoon. I embarrassed the crap out of my oldest brother when he was in the hospital getting his tonsils out. I came home on leave from the military and read a He-Man book aloud to him. Complete with all the voices and sound effects. We had a room full of kids and parents by the end since he was in the kiddo ward even though he was an adult
A proper He-Man sword should be made of cheap plastic, not metal!
