This is a photo of the confluence of the Shenadoah and Potomac rivers at Harper’s Ferry. I’ve taken a bunch of shots like this before. But I hadn’t tried a 30 second exposure.
It’s created an interesting fuzziness around the bushes at the front which were whipping around int he wind. Unfortunately the sky was so cloudy that you can’t really see any effects there.
It did however smooth out the river nicely and also eliminate almost all signs of the light drizzle that was coming down (there is a little on the lens in one area).
